The following are some of the technical requirements about butt welding pipe fittings :

Geometry size including outside diameter, inside diameter and wall thickness. Also require control curvature radius(bending radius). Such as the length of the radius of 1.5 d, then the radius of curvature must be within the tolerance range of required. Because most of these pipe fittings are used for welding, in order to improve the welding quality , when welding the pipes with the butt welding pipe fittings ,the ends position it very important, the ends should leave a certain Angle on the edge, this one is more strictly.Thickness,angle deviation range has a regulation, how much and a lot more than pipe item geometry size.

The same is the butt welding pipe fittings surface quality and mechanical properties of the basic materials . For convenient welding, the material grade should be same with the connected steel pipes. And, all the pipes must be dealed with surface treatment, the internal and external surface of iron oxide by shot blast spray drop, then coated with anticorrosive paint. This is for the convenience of transportation,  we have to prevent the pipes and fittings from corrosion .
